Collecting Anime is an art in itself.  Some items you can find in surplus, while some you can't find at all.  Knowing where and when to look is the key to finding what you want, like that pristine action figure NRFB, at a price you can live with.

If you've ever wondered how to get your hands on your favorite Anime merchandise, wonder no longer. Here's a few tips to collecting all things Anime.

  • Specialty shops are a great resource when it comes to finding Anime merchandise. But you can also pay a pretty penny in the process. Invest in some collectors guides first to know what the item is truly worth.

  • When kids outgrow their toys, they can often end up in a box at a flea market or garage sale. They won't always be mint and it may take some time, but you'll be amazed at how much Anime stuff is out there for practically nothing.

  • Auctions and estate sales are another good bet. Try eBay for online bidding... just watch the time left to be sure you get in the last bid.

  • There are several associations and clubs out there dedicated to Anime. Check out the forums and bulletin boards for items for sale by other members.
